British-born filmmaker and entrepreneur Barnard Jaffier founded Jaffa Films in 2008. Barnard Jaffier has been in the film business for twenty-five years as editor, series producer, director, and showrunner.

A multi-faceted, independently owned production company, Jaffa Films’ mission is to create and produce compelling television series and films of intriguing content, passionately told to inspire. We push storytelling and visual artistry to new heights.

Jaffa Films is engaged in a range of entertainment platforms providing a strong direction for television and film projects for the 21st century. From must-see docu-reality series, sports, and drama series to fiction/non-fiction features… Jaffa Films has compiled a sophisticated and diverse pipeline.

Our projects target a broad audience for primetime television, digital web content, and international theatrical releases, including branded entertainment and video-on-demand. Innovative and edgy series and films reflect a new spirit and energy within the entertainment landscape.

WORK HISTORY

THE BIG BREAK:

Barnard Jaffier’s journey into film began with the production company Blackside Inc., the filmmakers behind the landmark, multiple Emmy-award winning documentary series, Eyes On the Prize: The Civil Right Years.

Later he worked with Ken Burns (Florentine Films) as an Associate Editor on the Academy Award-nominated PBS series, Jazz: History of America’s Music.

He also helped to produce the highly successful PBS series, African American Lives with Henry Louis Gates (Kunhardt Productions).

Jaffa Films, LLC, has created projects for an eclectic roster of clients, which includes PBS, ESPN, TV One, Showtime Boxing, MTV, and BET.

Magic Studios

Magic Studios is an award-winning digital video post-production studio. We are a creative powerhouse dedicated to meeting all of our clients’ video production needs. Our services include studio rental, edit systems, color correction, and graphics for broadcast television. We provide rich, colorful videos for marketing, streaming, or training purposes.

CURRENT PROJECTS:

Projects include several unscripted television series anticipated for the winter 2025 cable/streaming season, a graphic novella, along with an anticipated feature film release in 2025.

Jaffa Films maintains offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, Park City and in 2025, a production facility in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
