View the lineup of 40 films from 22 countries celebrating history & storytelling, technology & the future throughout Africa and the African Diaspora. On opening night (Wed Apr 9: 7:30pm) we present the New York premiere of Charles Burnett’s latest effort, Namibia: The Struggle for Liberation, starring Danny Glover. Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka will be feted at the centerpiece celebration (Sat Apr 12: 5:30pm) with the U.S. premiere of The African Slave Trades: Across the Indian Ocean.
